This 17th century Bedfordshire country pub has a thatched roof and rooms, which offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike.

Head chef Peter Pestell delivers a range of menus for customers all using local ingredients. Its bar menu called The Hatch offers exciting items such as Wild Berry Farm goat curry with rice and peas and frito misto of king prawns, artichoke, mussels and potato.

The Farmers Table Menu is a set, seasonal tasting menu using the best local ingredients from growers. Typical dishes include angus beef shin with saffron risotto and bone marrow and Carlton smoked sea trout with Jerusalem artichokes and horseradish.

The close relationship with their own Wild Berry Farm means that produce is a real “farm to fork” story.

The pub has also been featured in the Good Pub Guide.
