Chris Lowe has worked across consumer and business media titles, becoming Group Director at William Reed in 2022, the company that operates the Top 50 brands.
Originally seeing the potential that Top 50 Gastropubs had in a consumer and digital world, a new web site was launched to help foodies discover the best gastropubs in the country whilst giving a platform to these places and their chefs. Since then, he has orchestrated the launch of Top 50 Cocktail Bars and most recently Top 50 Boutique Hotels.
Charli (she/her) has been working at William Reed since 2019 and joined the team in 2021 to keep our listees, fans and industry up to date with all things Top 50 related. She fills the website and social channels with content whilst supporting the events team. Charli has a keen interest in cocktail bars and finding the best vegan food. As the curator of the lucrative lists, Charli is the person to contact if you want to get involved!
Ed Bedington is a professional journalist of more than 25 years, from local and regional newspapers to business press. He’s been covering the hospitality sector for the past six years as editor of leading industry trade title, The Morning Advertiser, which organises the Top 50 events and brands. He can often be found in a pub, and not always in a work capacity.
Chris has worked in media solutions and events sponsorship since joining William Reed in 2006. From working on various B2B brands, he moved to leading pub and bar industry leading title, Morning Advertiser, and has been commercial director on the team for the past 5+ years. Chris has been integral in growing the Top 50 portfolio now covering the best places to eat, drink, and sleep in the UK and supporting brand and sales strategy in positioning against the elite operators. Outside of work he’s a sport enthusiast and likes going on long walks with the family.
Nathan oversees the digital marketing strategy of William Reed's extensive retail, hospitality and manufacturing portfolio. A lover of all things tech, Nathan has over 9 years digital publishing and ecommerce experience. When not in front of a screen, Nathan can be found in the gym or on long country walks (stopping off at a few pubs along the way, of course!)
Melissa has been with William Reed since 2011, initially working on exhibitions including Food & Drink Expo, before joining The Morning Advertiser in 2014 (and discovering a love of cask and keg beer). She became part of the Top 50 team in 2020. Melissa is very passionate about the hospitality sector and in her free time enjoys finding new places to eat and drink out.
