One of the south’s top chefs, John Hooker took on the Cornish Arms with wife Emma in 2013 with ambitions to make the pub a great dining destination as well as a proper local for the community.
John is no stranger to awards having previous been named Chef of the Year in the coveted Trencherman’s Awards.
With more than two decades of experience as a chef, having held three AA Rosettes, been featured in the Good Food Guide, competing on Great British Menu, John makes the most of the bet ingredients from the south west, cooking with the season’s produce and using classic combinations with big hearty flavours.
