Dylans at the Kings Arms, St Albans, Hertfordshire
Dylans is a gem for foodie fathers. There’re a number of specials on offer for Father’s Day, including lamb shank and mint pie plus whipped potato, lamb sauce, and there’s also a Beef Wellington on offer too.
The gastropub is situated in St Albans and is a small but perfectly formed gastropub to please diners of every taste and such a well-stocked drinks range. The pub was awarded the Front of House Team of the Year accolade in 2022, so you know service will be top tier.

The Oarsman, Marlow, Buckinghamshire
The team at the Oarsman are joining forces with fellow site Harrow & Hope to mark the special day. The bistro-pub & wine bar is the perfect setting to celebrate, with a range of specials on offer.
These include Oarsman spicy fried chicken with lime & coriander, and Chateaubriand with Béarnaise to share.
The pub menu is also filled with plenty of bar snacks and dishes to enjoy in the sun on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but if you can’t make it to the pub, there are also gift vouchers available, making for the perfect gift.

The Loch & The Tyne, Old Windsor, Berkshire
At the Loch & Tyne, Old Windsor, dads can bag their first free drink on the house, courtesy of head chef Adam Handling.
The pub with two rooms opened in May 2021, and joins Handling’s portfolio of sites that include the Frog, Ugly Butterfly and Eve Bar.
The Loch & Tyne is headed by co-chef proprietors Steven and Jonny who have worked with Handling now for over a decade.
Diners are presented with a good selection of menus, including lunch, tasting and a la carte at the venue
On the a la carte, dishes have included rabbit terrine with pease pudding; and Orkney scallop with leek and horseradish to start.
Mains have included potato with Jerusalem artichoke and white truffle; monkfish with chorizo and coleslaw; and roast halibut with pickled radish and dressed crab. Dads dining here are sure to be in for a treat.View this post on Instagram
Freemasons at Wiswell, Clitheroe, Lancashire
The Freemasons at Wiswell, which takes third spot on the Top 50 Gastropub list, is offering a three-course menu for £55 each on Father’s Day.
The sample menu kicks off with bread and butter, with starters including Veloute of Spring soup with pickled ceps, house cured salmon with house pickles, iced sour cream, potted shrimp & Nori crumpet, and seafood gratin cooked in champagne & chive cream with a Berkswell cheese crust.
Moving on to mains, there’s Lancashire 60 day aged roasted sirloin beef with all the trimmings, Yorkshire pudding, duck fat potato and cauliflower cheese, Then there’s Nidderdale lamb or Morecambe Bay cod, with a variety of sides, or the organic salmon roast loin with saffron potato, warm fennel & caper salad.
Then there are desserts, which include chocolate cheesecake, sour cherry Bakewell tart and a selection of British artisan cheeses complete with biscuits.

Parlour, Kensal, south London
There’s also a fantastic roast offering on offer at Parlour in Kensal Green. The menu, running from midday on Sunday until 10pm, will include sirloin of Shorthorn beef with fresh horseradish, brined & roasted Goosnargh Chicken with bread sauce and Paddock Farm Tamworth pork with Bramley apple & sage.
